Does anyone have knowledge/info on 1976 Humdinga By Futura. Its a poptop, 11ft, very sweet van. Do you know someone who has or had one? I'd like to know how many made and if any still about...... Cheers

I've got photos of a 1975 Futura from an internet listing a couple of years ago. It was listed as a "Humdinger", so I don't know whether your spelling or this spelling is the correct model name.
Futura were more into building larger vans (up to 28ft), and only got involved in the poptop vans when the other manufacturers started building them in the mid-1970s. I don't think Futura survived the collapse of the caravan industry in the late 1970s, so I wouldn't think there'd be too many Futura poptops around. They were only a small company and wouldn't have had anywhere near the output that the bigger names had.

So did the Futura lead the design trends from the traditional bull nose Viscount & Millard etc look, to this angular style basis, that was the norm during the 80s &90s?

Futurama built "normal style vans,with front top rolls( bulges) like every other van,but their pop tops were lower,smaller and more aerodynamic than others of the same time,when manufacturers were dealing with the petrol crisis.
Never heard of one being called a humdinger though!
