I held a Garage Sale at home last weekend, Didn't do very good at all really,
What really got up my nose was the fact that, A nice little Person (who didn't buy a thing) managed to slip a couple of Cassette tapes into their pocket unnoticed by me until after they had left.---- ##**(%$# ----
I hope this Person has a Very Merry Xmas. (under a bus)

Howdy there Young Fella, No way I'll ever buy another bus, thanks. I whacked the Coromal on the Market, for sale at a 5 figure number after our return from Our Around the W.A. Block trip. Sold with-in the hour, I'm still looking for another Classic but, in the mean time I scored another van on the cheap which required the suspension to be over hauled, all new spring bushers and bearings etc. I got this Jayco off a Dealer, they had had it advertised at $19.990 but due to it's condition and with a bit of arm twisting I towed it home, after forking out $14.750 plus the Dealer payed for 12 Months Rego, This Jayco is now complete and sitting in the front yard waiting for our next trip come autumn. Have a Very Merry Xmas to one an All........ kiwijim

G'day kiwijim, I think some people get confused with this time of the year, and think the "spirit of giving" extends to garage sales at your place. Obviously, they thought you were "giving" the items away. That's what happens when you look like a friendly, helpful chap. Best you ask Santa for a "grumpy face", so people won't take advantage of you so easily. Is that Jayco van showing a "T" weight of 2.50 tonnes and an "A" weight of 5-odd tonnes?? Or do those numbers in the front lower corner mean something else?? Looks like you did a pretty good deal...you obviously haven't lost your touch! cheers, Al.

G'day Al, We are beginning to think that there must be a lot of people out there who are not as well off as the "Ones in Power" would like us to think. We spent a total of over 16hrs last weekend waiting for the Buyers to arrive, "NUP" only a hand full of lookers and what I did manage to sell, went for bottom price. Think I'll give it a miss for some time, Hopefully in the new year things might pick up.
The numbers on the side of the Jayco should read, T- 1260 A- 1580 that's about a Ton lighter than the Coromal, Yes, it wasn't a bad score, even though as I said, I've had to repair the suspension, and the brake linings required replacing as well. Now, all we want is some cooler weather, high 30's all this week hitting 40+ by next weekend. "JEEEEEZZZZ"
cheers kiwijim

we just finished doing the garage sale bit with my dads lifelong collection of tools, he owned a truck business for 50 years so imagine the stuff it filled up a good part of a shed ,after a family talk and me and my brother picking through it the rest went on the stack.the dearest thing was a kabota lawn master $1000 the rest $20 $10 $5 or $2 we really gave stuff away because it eather went for a few bucks or to the tip, a drill press $20 welders $5 anyhow mum got $750.00 and only tossed a few bits, every one was happy, I find that at some salkes they seem to think that it really good and they will keep me $2.00 is better nothing
