Hi I just purchased a lil caravan which I though was Millard but I'm convinced it's a york..has louvered windows a round sticker (no writing legible) and a chassis no. YC490 or Y0490??? Can't tell....I'm just sbout to register it, so want it correct. I'm hoping my new lil baby is actually the same age as me!!...cheers n thanks in advanced if anyone can help I have photos not sure how to post them off an iPhone? Can email cheers

G'day ckc, and welcome to the forum! A chassis number starting with 'Y' is definitely a York. The only query is the second number (or letter). If the chassis number is in fact as low as 490, that was when the York caravans were being built for Suttons Motors (a car dealership in Sydney), and the early chassis numbers had an 'S' after the Y. Have a good look at the chassis number and try and work out what that second digit really is. That will help determine the approximate date of manufacture of the van. cheers, Al.
