I'm a new member seeking a little advice. I have recently acquired and old caravan, with no manaufactures' labels remaining. Searching through photographs on this site and other sites I believe it to be a Valiant. However these sites talk of Chassis no. beginning with B or C, generally. My chassis no. is A 1888. Sorry I haven't mastered photos on this site yet, though I have today listed it on Gumtree (Hervey Bay Region, Qld) with photographs. No, I not trying to generate a sale, just geniunely interested in what it may be. I'm a little wary of touching it myself in case I stuff it up. Any advice on how to authenticate what it is. Thanks.

G'day bunyah, If the van you are talking about is this one on gumtree, it is a 1968 model Viscount Duralvan, not a Valiant. The Viscount models got the "A" series chassis numbers. cheers, Al.
