Am considering beefing up my insulation. Have done a quick search but found very little information. What options are there ? cheers Murray

I used 20/25mm foam sheets but I removed the cladding to do it. Beware of using expanding foam in a can as it will make the walls bulge out. Other than that I don't know what you could use I know the fibre bats (pink bats etc) will end up shaking down into a little pile. Pete

I went with a foil type product off ebay. As with most foils it has bubbles between the sheets, is fire proof and does the job.

G'day murray, If you do a search of the forum for the word 'insulation' and put 3500 days in the search field on the right hand side, you'll get 7 pages of results relating to the word 'insulation'. There are heaps of different types of insulation used by people in their restorations, including me who used leftover Air-Cell insulation in the Millard poptop. I can see in the search results just now that bricktop, scotia59, planner, camich, dolphin73campervan, mausie, and probably many others, have pictures and information of the various types of insulation they used. Makes for great bedtime reading! cheers, Al.
