What a change. Since I was made redundant, I'v sold most of the old cars and all of the old vans until I get to Brisbane.
Now don't yell at me too loudly, but I have bought my first modern van, its a Jayco Westport 17'6, and towing with a Ford turbo diesel Ranger and loving it.
Anyway we will be on the road for a few weeks, heading to Qld, via the coastline from Mt Gambier
Have a new job and unfortunately I have to start work in Brisbane in 4 weeks.
I guess that means looking for the right place up there, then another old van and wotever old cars I find.
Thats after I clear out mums sheds LOL.
Hopefully we will see some of you on the road.
Don

Hey Don, We hope you have a good trip in the new Jayco, you just treat it like it was a Classic and it should get there alright. Can't understand you people leaving Mt Gambier, it was a really beautiful part of the country when we were there a few years back, loved those Blue lakes. Take it easy on the trip and we're all hanging out to see what you find in the way of Classic vans in the future. ;D ;D ;D cheers kiwijim

You just can't help yourself, can you Don?!! Not even reached Brissy yet and you're already thinking about a deal on a van you've seen. That's it...no medical cure for you now...you've got the obsessive compulsive caravan disorder. ;D ;D Best wishes for the trip, the future, and the "potential purchase". cheers, Al.

I didn't realise how long since I have been on here. We have had a wonderful trip. Saw some places i have wanted to see for a long time. And there are a few we will definately be going back to. Especially Myall Lakes and Seal Rocks and the hinterland from Coffs. Ranger and van have performed faultlessly. Didn't get the Zestline (vetoed) but would have loved it. In trouble for buying a model of a 37 Ford ute with a campervan on the back and a 57 Ranchero ute (both 18th scale), I suggested we remove one of the couches and put in a display case. Wont print reply LOL.
