Hi all, I'm new here. My name is Linn and I am on the Caravaners Forum too if any of you are there as well. I'm raising 3 chidlets, just gave birth to our newest nearly 5mths ago. Huz is in the military so while we're originally from Brisbane, we're currently living in central Vic and by the end of the year we'll be headed off elsewhere again. We bought our caravan in December, had our first trip with her last weekend, and I reckon will be a great addition to our growing family's holidays.
I think this forum will be more relevant to our set up as we have a 1977 Franklin and I have loads of questions. I'll start a new thread for that. But one quick question here: are there any shows or gatherings of older vans? I've just been to the Caravan Show in Melbourne and it was all brand new stuff, I was really hoping to see a classic/vintage display. Alas.
We're heading out now, so I'll post my other thread later, cheers.

Hi linn, welcome to the forum I'm also a memeber of caravaners forum, but don't use it much as i find it to hard to find the info I'm looking for or to get answers. But mind you, i'm pretty lazy and haven't spent a heap of time looking either, lol. I've found these guys on here a wealth of information and knowledge Cheers donna

Hi Linn and welcome to the forum. We all love pics here!! ;D ;D ;D ;D There doesn't seem to be much organised on the classic forum around gatherings for some reason, perhaps becasue a lot of people on here are currently building / renovating their vans ... But, seeing as your in Victoria, you might want to keep an eye out here for events that come up on the vintage forum (sister forum to the classic forum ). From memory, the Vics have upcoming events at the end of April and for Fathers day weekend ... they don't have an index organised so you would just have to keep checking out the general thread. If you find yourself back in the Brisbane area at the end of the year, then I keep an index updated for up coming events hereYou would certainly be welcome at any of the SEQ events, and I am sure the Vics would welcome you along also. Hope this helps. Cheers Doug
