hi guys and gals ,been lurking the forum for a little while and have now finally bought a van ,well won it on e-bay this arvo. So I thought I would show everybody what I bought. I got it a little cheaper than what they had it listed elsewhere on the net so that makes me and the missus happy to start with, cant wait to pick it up. Oh and its a 1979 Viscount Grand Tourer

G'day pod, Congratulations on your win! Looks to be quite a tidy van. Pack up a go straight away! ;D I'll be interested in knowing what the chassis number is on the drawbar, so that we can understand what numbering system they used in 1980. cheers, Al.

well renamed this thread ,but having the wet weather is good for one thing, yes you all guessed it finding those dreaded leaks , so now have 2 windows to reseal ,well one only leaks when shut and the other leaks down through the winder box ,so it looks like i will be off to the big green box to order some sikaflex and on the caravans plus site to get some dust seal and window wedging seal , as for the slightly wet interior paneling ,well that's for later on ,as I think she who must be obeyed wants a double bed in there instead of the singles

Today i pulled out the back window that was leaking ,put new seals in the opening part ,and guess what i found taking the frame out .. Yes the dreaded silastic ,one nice big smeary bead on the inside at the top of the window ,and just dried up old sealant around the outside ,so have cleaned it up, and I'm still picking a sticky solid smearing off, so I can reseal it this weekend ,as I am going for a long weekend on anzac day down on the coast at Windang in her

had a good time ,found i needed a few things ,so off to bunnings up the road to get a fan as it was nice an warm even with everything open, and some grey water hose which was cheap, less than $20 for a nice length with a rubber joiner which clamped on to the existing piece of pipe

hi bobt , yep the maiden voyage , no note pad , but the few things are in my head ,nothing too major ,well one is , and that's changing the 2 single beds into a double , but that's later in the year ,as i have the june long weekend away with greedy53 and some fellow veedub club families , for a chill out ,literally as its freezing where we go ,but the park lets us have a nice roaring fire ,used to do it in my Kombi ,but thats since been traded up to the van ,and no more pics will get more on my next adventure cheers pod
