Hi Everyone, We bought a Viscount Supreme at the end of last year. The rego papers say it is an 86 but the numbers are not on the draw bar to check if that is right. We had intended to do some small renos and add some bunks for the kids. We have joined a caravanning group and are loving our weekends away. Over the last couple of months the reno has become bigger than intended. Bumble bee, as we called her, no longer looks like a Viscount and the whole interior has been pulled out. Anyone done anything similar? We have a 4 week trip planned soon, so a lot of work to do!!!! Attachments:

G'day amanda, and welcome to the forum! ;D Good grief, that's certainly no longer looking like a Viscount! Probably the restoration that comes the closest to what you've done is the one by Caprinut here . There are others who have stripped out the interior of their van, but they've rebuilt to the original van shape. Your van would have originally been from around the 1977/78 time period. I think I can see the little RVMAA badge forward of the door, which helps to narrow down the age. Looks like you've had quite a project going there!! cheers, Al.

Great job you have undertaken there Amanda, looks like it's going to become a beaut family van, was wondering what the material is your using on the exterior walls above the checkerplate. Keep up the great work. cheers

Hi Jeff,
My husband says it's called Alu sheet. It is from Mr Ply and Wood (we are in NSW).
We got our sheets to line the inside walls from there too. We got a ply wood with a white 2 pak paint on it. They had the timber look ply too.
Amanda

Thanks for your reply Al and the link to Caprinut's van. It looks great!
Thanks also for the guess on the age of the original van. My husband said there was an RVMAA badge in front of the door.

We put down the vinyl on the floor on the weekend. Love it!! We also measured everything up and designed the kitchen. Next job is to make the bunks. Attachments:

Some new pics of the inside. The queen size lift up bed (cupboards on sides and above to be built) and the kitchen and double bunks.
