G'Day all, I know my Thomson Tow'er may-not be as young as 1986 but she was fully rebuilt in 2006, hopefully it may qualify, It's a 1981 Mitz ute named "OLD BLUE" I fully rebuilt the motor, removed the old 3 speed column-change gearbox and replaced it with a 5 speed floor change, out came the old bench seat and in went two VK Holden bucket seats (very comfy) , while in the adding mood...in went a good radio/cassette and a UHF radio, plus the canopy on the rear....grabbed free out of a local paper. Old Blue may-not be the fastest ute on the road but she has never let me down yet . ;D she pulls the Thomson Caravan with-out any trouble. Cheers and Beers kiwijim

G'Day Gristy, You are spot on about carrying bits for the caravan repairs in OLD BLUE, it has also carried enough aluminum to build a few vans... old alum that is...to the scrap yard ( made a couple of hundred out of that lot) ;D she has also carried 1.5 ton of slabs, that made her grunt a bit but thanks to the low gears...no trouble. she's pretty good at pulling out trees as well, the 10 year old hibiscus on the drive-way didn't have a chance...roots an all first grunt, made a hell of a mess of the retric pipes but a tin of glue fixed them later. thinking of flogging her off shortly....interested ? ? ? ;D cheers kiwijim.

G-day Jim, Great looking tow'er you got there,is it gas or diesel? I like all the goodies you have on her, the bull bar and cap are awesome, it reminds me of the 86 Isuzu pup I had, great little truck, brings back memories. Cheers and lots of beers, Wayne
