G'day impala01, and welcome to the forum! ;D
We haven't had any Impala vans show up on the forum before. In fact, I can find only one reference in a search of the forum, and that wasn't confirmed to be an Impala.
I have a 1978 Caravan World magazine, which has a full-page advert for Impala vans. The advert reads:
IMPALA Personalised Design Specialists Wide range of standard floor plans in all the popular sizes always on display. Quality is our aim, combined with highly personalised service. Caravans with an exciting difference. IMPALA CARAVANS 1357 Sydney Road, Fawkner 3060. Telephone: 359 2084
That's all I know about the brand. Perhaps forum member hughdeani can shed a bit more light on them for you.
cheers, Al.

Hi Al and Paul, Impala were a yard that bought vans from different manufacturers in the 70s,just put their stickers on them and sold them as Impalas. Do you have a chassis number?Might be able to tell who built it from that and also a good interior photo might jog my memory! Cheers hughdeani

I have a mid 70's "Impala" 18ft caravan which I inherited from my father. According to the metal tag it was build by GM motors. It has many luxuries such as water pump, toilet cubicle with chemical toilet and basin, a gas geyser, gas stove and oven. All this is still original but not sure if all models came standard with it (if there where other models).
