Bethany, in the Barossa, cars started at 6 points and converged about 11 AM, great food and wines, great people, lotsa fun. Our group met at tee Tree gully then went via Williamstown and Lyndoch, a great drive through lovely country with an assortment of nice cars and like minded people. Yesterday Crafers had 24 max 6 min lovely day, and great night with the wood heater on, grilled chorizo on home made bread and a nice hill's red blend. This morning when I went down to the bus about 6.20 it was about 6 deg again and rain, with some extra rain thrown in for good measure and some wind to make sure it got under the brolly Looks like might even get up to 12 deg up there

Gday Crafers It sounds like a great venue in a very historic place...might have to have a look and catch up next year if its on ! Yes I know all about 4 seasons in one day in the hills on the top of the range after living not far from Mt Crawford (supposedly the coldest place in SA...but in my view Lenswood or Macclesfield takes the cake)for 20 years and working outside in Eden Valley for quite a while....bbbrrrr (part of the reason I escape in winter ;D) Mind you I also know about that bone chilling fog that you get at Crafers that doesnt lift all day until you go for a drive down the freeway and like magic it can be sunny on the Adelaide side of the Heysen Tunnels...but seriously the Adelaide Hills are definately the best place in Australia to live in the summertime !! Cheers Andy

Its not fog its cloud. And this time of year we have the rhododendrons, camelias, tulips, and all the rest in full and perfumed flower. Very nice. Mind its not that conducive to working in the shed. Just came in, its blowing like all whatsit out there tonight. And the hands are too cold to play on the lathe for long and too jumpy when limbs hit the shed roof to play with the MIG, so bu**er it, telly and a glass of red in front of the fire. Other half says I'm just getting soft with age. I just rekon I should be allowed to have a lathe in the study.

Gday Crafers Cloud hey ;D ;D ;D But seriously...Telly with a couple of glasses of Tollana TR222 Cabernet or a nice Penfolds Kalimna Bin28 Shiraz and an open fire on a cold, wet windy night in the hills kicking back on the lounge sounds like a pretty good plan!!! You might have to have a word with the other half though....whats wrong with having the lathe in the study ?? ;D ;D Have a good one Cheers Andy
