We have pommie Austins and thought we might share some old photos of these 1200cc engined cars infront of vans. 1953 Austin A40 with what looks like a fibreglass van. Attachments:

Love the pic, thanks for that. We have Morris Minors and are looking for a van or teardrop to suit. That old A40 countryman is a bit rare these days.

Hi, Your Countryman is beautiful. When I was a young lad, our Scout group bought one, to do neighbourhood bottle collections. I drove it a few times on camping trips. A good honest vehicle.

Hi Wahroonga Thanks for the compliment We love our Batmobile - it has taken us and our boys, when they were young, on many trips. The first was from Sydney to Adelaide via the Great Ocean road and back via Mildura on its post restoration trip in 1981. Nothing like a little trip to shake out the cobwebs hey!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Cheers Mausie

We love ours too. ;D ;D ;D I think we have a terminal disease like most old car owners - no known cure If anyone is interested, the next Austins Over Australia rally is being held in Bendigo over Easter 2013 Joe
