And my Daddy still has his 1971......... radiogram with............ wait for it............reel to reel tape............. So now you can call me Ditz the bower bird. But I listen to most stuff but heavy metal and C&W in small doses.... I still like Disney stuff.............. Dance music is great too

Hey Gristy, when you talk Vinyl records and old L.P's you're talking my kind of language...especially if it's old Country music.......you know........ Slim Dusty, Slim Whitman, Charlie Pride only to name a few. A record-player in the Thomson......you bet, I had been chasing one at the local markets for ages with-out success, that was until a couple of weeks ago when I visited a local Sunday market, after a couple of hours of fruitless searching I gave the idea a miss and headed for the gates, just out-side of the gates was waste hopper bin, as I went past something caught my eye...a quick dive and a double retrieval and "walla"....have a look at the pictures below, "YEP" a turntable plus a receiver / amplifier... of the same brand (Technics) and all in good working condition. ;D ;D ;D ;D Now who's the happy ......kiwijim ;D

Yup Atog, Dire Straights is good, I have Alchemy on Vinyl, it cops a floggin. Also have a number of Abba albums which the kids love. And some Kiss, AC/DC, a heap of George Thorogood, Neil Diamond, Bruce Springstein, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Def Leppard, Elvis, J'OK, Kenny Rogers.......um actually pretty much you name it, its probably there. Even some classical stuff. Sorry Ditzy I don't have a colourful record player........but I do have something on coloured vinyl. My record player is a big timber cabinet Radiogram, full auto, complete with radio. No reel to reel. And unlike a mate of mine's no B&W TV either. Hey Kiwijim, thats a very nice find. Technics were the ducks guts back in 1980 (or there abouts). C'mon anyone else out there got vinyl they still listen to? Cheers, Gristy
