G'day dizzy,
It's not easy to remove mould from canvas, and your success will depend on how bad the mould is, and whether you have the means in your 'workshop' to do the cleaning process.
The product mentioned as "Oxiclean" in that information has the active chemical ingredient sodium percarbonate, which is commonly used for removing mould stains from old bedspreads, fabrics, etc. Sodium percarbonate is also used by home brewing experts for cleaning brewing equipment. There are many cleaning products available in Australia that have sodium percarbonate as the active cleaning ingredient. For example, Woolies stock this product for $3.50, or this product for $2.49. What will differ between products is the concentration of the active ingredient, ie. how many gms of percarbonate per kg of product. If you are a budding chemist, the internet will show you how to make home-made sodium percarbonate in your workshop, using the required ingredients.
If you decide that a new canvas top is required for your van, your nearest canvas-maker is your first port of call to see what can be done, and how much it will cost.
cheers, Al.

Hello All. I have just found this forum. I would like to get involved with other Topagee van lovers and vanners in general. I am currently travelling Australia in my well loved, renovated Topagee. My home away from home is constantly evolving, turning heads and surprising others on where I manage to gets it. Cape York being our last achievement. Happy to be stirred towards the right forums and sites if someone has the time to comment and reply. Kind regards Mark

Hi Pixie, Welcome to the Classic Caravan forum. All you need to do is ask, plenty of help here, of course you will need to be a little more specific. Images are gold, the beauty of a forum like this is that all your photos & blog are held in one place the "Hall of Fame". There fellow members can help you out with their years of experience. Your images need to be hosted by a third party of your choice, I use Imgur link If this is a little daunting to start send your images to me, saleskeyband@outlook.com Great to hear of your project , check out others at Hall of Fame. Cheers Mustang

Hi all Have just joined this forum as I have just purchased a franklin sunwagon pop-up camper/ caravan. I am located in Queensland Australia and would love to get any info I can regarding replacement canvas or other mods and options that other's have done. This is my first camper/ caravan. I have recently done a conversion in my kia pregio Van as a camper but have bought this to upgrade. I am keeping my pregio van also so it will be used in conjunction with the camper. I will get some pics sorted when I am somewehere that I have a better internet connection.

Hi evilhighway, First thing you need to do is have the windup serviced if it’s not a push up,nothing worse than your first trip away and you can’t get the van up or down! Try your local motor trimmer or canvas maker for renewal,Sunwagons had sectioned canvas which makes it much easier to replace. Cheers hughdeany

For now with our canvas and after a more in depth look today we will be able to make some home repairs to what we have in the mean time. We also got a 5 litre canvas water proofer to paint the outside with that we started doing today. Hopefully that will make a good difference for now. I will be removing the annex as it's way to heavy and replacing it with a kings style pull out awning and with the amount or canvas I have. I have quite a bit for some patches where needed. probably be able to replace a zip or 2 and have some extra cover's for the top of the bed areas. All the annex material is like brand new so I best put it to use.
