I am looking for a table sized piece of mid 70's laminex , I believe the name is White Onyx and is in my Roadmaster Luxury Liner which I have almost finished (see Hall of Fame ). I have tried several salvage yards with no success. Does anyone know where I might try in or around Adelaide. Every thing in the Van is original and I would like to keep it that way if possible. I appreciate any help. Cheers Vanatic

G'day vanatic, I'd be surprised if Larry Weepers at Roadmaster doesn't know where (or if) you could find some of that laminex. You would have to think that given the number of old Roadmasters his team has restored, they'd know where you could get just about every part you needed for these old vans. White onyx formica is still available in the USA (google it), but whether it's an exact match of what you've got is something I don't know. Other than that, the old faithful ebay might throw something up one day, or a trip around the second hand stores in your area. Sometimes things can pop up quite unexpectedly. A girl in one of the flats in the block next door to us moved out recently. She chucked some of her stuff out on the footpath for a council cleanup. One of the things she threw out was an old kitchen table with steel legs and laminex top, in very good condition for its age. The laminex pattern was the old basketweave pattern from the 1960s and used extensively in caravans of that era. Needless to say, I grabbed that table as quick as I could. Never know when you might need a piece of yellow basketweave laminex, ay?! Good luck with your search. cheers, Al.
