Not a road I've been down. Is there a road? They look a little "government built" possibly construction camp.

Not a road I've been down. Is there a road? They look a little "government built" possibly construction camp. It is on a road and it was a town... The story goes, what the WW2 did not wipe out on a generation, the few who returned decided to move away or never returned at all, so as the elderly residents passed away there was no-one to keep the town going. It has/had a church and community hall all left to the elements. There is even a children's playground - just rusting away. It is in QLD.

Mustang must use the same search as me that that was the first "ghost town QLD" result that I checked out.

I think I've got the sort of major town sorted, but not having any luck sorting the location of your pic. It's already cost 1 lunch break on google maps, and Mill probably cost another today. Planner

Found it, Kooroongarra, but not with any skill, just panning around google maps (lucky work internet is unlimited data ). Google tried to trick me, the shaded area of the town did not include these houses. Streetview dated 2008 still has both houses being lived in. I'll let someone else put up a photo, only 3 people seem to be playing. Planner

I love viewing these abandoned buildings/towns though not too many around here except for a couple of gold towns. A few years ago, at the height of the Victorian drought, Lake Eildon got very low exposing many farmhouses and buildings that hadn't been seen for decades. Spent a full day stomping around in mud with the family trailing behind.

Kooroongarra is correct I've been there twice the house with the front gate has stuff stored in it but from what we could tell, on one really lived in it and same for the old butter factory, another storage area. I'll put up some more pic's of the place tomorrow. If you move up the road back towards Millmerran you can see the church and hall the play ground is beside the hall (I think) but there are 2 houses in between that did looked lived in. Well done Planner, so has any one else got a photo.

Well done Planner, so has any one else got a photo. Harldy involved any bloodhound like skill, more like a labrador puppy bouncing around the backyard until it found the ball Time for someone else to put up a pic.
