Hope this is the right area to post this, I find it interesting, and as some of you know love the old tatra cars. Now here's a potential tow vehicle with lots of ability ;D This 1973 Tatra 813 8×8 is perfect for the daily commute, with a tire inflation system on all eight wheels, roof hatches, and a cab air filtration system in case of chemical warfare. It is apparently ex-DDR East German Army and runs a 12-cylinder Diesel engine. For those of you into the tech side, these 60's and 70's trucks run air cooled diesels.

;D, Not to mention eight wheel drive and eight wheel independant suspension and a very solid backbone type chassis containing the drive shafts to the diffs. Very advanced and they've been around for donkeys yonks. Not particularly economical but then the Warsaw Pact wasn't all that worried about fuel economy. A great tow truck indeed.
Cheers, Ross.
