And thanks to you and Mark for setting up a forum to cater for '70's van enthusiasts. There are still lots of '70's vans around but one day there won't be. This forum will play its part in helping to save them. I'm sure as time goes by it will become as popular as its Vintage Van forum cousin. Good work!! Terry.

Hi Ditzy and Mark,
Good luck with the new venture. I am sure it will be every bit as good as the site for the older vans.
I only have the TD at the moment but if this forum will help preserve caravanning and vans in the spirit in which they were originally meant then I will support it wholeheartedly.
Who knows, I may end up with a suitable van anyway.
All the best,
Leigh.

Thanks Mark and Ditzy for this new forum. As I do on VV, I will be pleased to try to help with any matters relating to European Classic Caravans. I have a photo library of over 2000 pics of classic caravans, and loads of books on the classic caravan scene over here. I run an owner's group for Safari Caravans (the UK make) and we have over 200 members. groups.msn.com/ClassicSafariCaravanEnthusiasts/yourwebpage.msnwI'll put a few pictures of my 1978 Safari in the Hall of Fame.

Well done Mark and Ditzy, now I will be spending even more time on the internet, between VVs and CCs. And probably collect more seventies stuff to add to the 50s/60s gear. ;D Seriously, well done, I reckon this will become a very popular site.
When I get a chance I will post pics of all the seventies vans I have owned in the last few years - 2 Franklin campers, 2 Franklin caravans, 1 Cabana, a York and an ACT camper (Although the ACT could be pre1970, I'm not sure - perhaps I will put that in technical??)
Cheers, Gristy

Thankyou Mark and Ditzy! This is great to see... The 70's are the era I and many others grew up in and caravans played quite a part in my early years then. This I believe will attract a younger crowd to the forum which is important to keep the interest going for the next generation of enthusiasts. Now I can go and buy myself a good solid 70's van (which are still relatively easy to find) and not feel left out Well done ;D Vee Dub Nut
