I've read references to replacement brand stickers decals but after much searching the forums I haven't found anyone say where to get them done. Any clues? Any chance of getting new versions of my old Chesney stickers as I'm geeting a respray soon and would like to keep the original stickers as they are sooooo retro! Attachments:

Hey Lisa You may need to save the dimensions and take real good photos of the decals. Most of these sorts of stickers are no longer available.
One of our members has gone to the extraordinary length of sitting down with a sign writing company and drafting out stickers for Olympics. Thanks Boblor Because without his efforts those of us who have Olympics wouldn't be able to have new decals. This also means we have the same new decals instead of a hotchpotch
Maybe one of the forum members has already done something similar with Chesney....
All the best in your hunt
Cheers Atog

Hello Lisa not long ago I was looking for a decal logo for my Coronet Caravan,so I rang and asked a place in Bayswater in Victoria if they had some and they said yes and any others I may want. I have placed the address and phone No. and Email below.

G'day davron, and welcome to the forum! ;D I see your photo is from an ebay listing, which is where I saw one being sold sometime last year. That's probably the only way you'll come across them, but you're likely to be well into your nineties before somebody puts them up for sale. Really the only surefire way to get stickers is to have them made by a vinyl sticker company. When I was travelling in our van back in May, I had a chat with a fella in the van next door to us, who had advertising on the back windows of his 4WD for his vinyl printing business. I asked him whether it was possible to have the old caravan stickers made, and he said "Yep", the longest part of the job was drawing the sticker in the computer, which is where the costliest part of the job lies. If you have a good photo of the sticker (which you appear to have), and you know the dimensions of the original sticker, then you can get them made up. Cost?? Hmmm...don't know. I think atog had some made for his Olympic? I know people on the Vintage Caravan forum have had them made for old vans, so the technology is there, but it's just a matter of the dollars side of it. Hope this helps, cheers, Al.

Hey Gents Yes I did have the decals made Boblor commisioned a sign maker in Tweed Heads to reproduce the Olympic signs.
Thing is it costs for the work to make the first one After that it is cheaper
Talk to Boblor on this site or on Vintage Vans
Maybe it would be a good idea to cost share by seeing if anyone else is interested in having Viscount decals made
Cheers Atog

I was doing a search of this forum, and found another thread relating to caravan stickers. Somebody was looking for Chesney stickers, and somebody else said a caravan place in Victoria had a fair few different types. You could have a read of this thread: Replacement stickers decals, and particularly Repy #2 in that thread. Forum member peter may be able to clarify whether they are likely to still have the old Viscount stickers or not. cheers, Al.

Hi All I have an arrangement where we have developed all stickers for the Olympic vans, and we can do them for any marque. All I need is a good photo or tracing of the sticker, dimensions and colours required, (same sticker can be produced in any colour). So if you think I can assist sent a PM or email robertt@cn-newc.com.au,. The stickers are posted across Aust. for Olympic owners and all are very happy with the results. Cheers boblor

Gday everyone, I am currently doing up a 75 Viscount Ambassador. I found decals for my van at Forbes Caravans! They are currently winding down their operation but from memory there is still a few original decals for sale. Good luck! The fellow at Forbes Caravans is a great guy and has a heap of knowledge about old vans too! Cheers, Paulo

G'day Paulo, that's certainly very usefull information there. I'm surprised to hear Forbes Caravans are still winding down. I remember seeing adverts a number of months ago for the sell-off of their caravan stock and some of the larger bits and pieces like aluminium cladding. He must be getting down to the smaller odds-and-sods stuff now, eh? I went to a used van sales yard about an hour away from my place a month ago to look at a van. This bloke had a very small spare parts and accessories section in his front office. I was surprised to see he still had the rising sun Millard stickers that were used in the late '70s - early '80s, as well as stickers for other brands (but I didn't notice any Viscount stickers). He also had replacement glass shades for the round oyster lights that were commonly used in the '70s as well. So, I guess it pays to go see your local second-hand dealer to see if he/she's got any of this old stuff still lying around. Thanks for the tip. ;D cheers, Al.

If you know anyone with a printer that will accomodate Sticker material you could scan and save picture of sticker to (my pictures) then print out using printer settings to reduce to size you want. A member of my family had such a printer until recently and it did a very good job John (Vanatic)

Good morning - I am very excited to be on board the "Vintage Crew"!! :-) I am almost a vintage model myself I guess! lol - I already own a 1969 14ft Olympic Debonair which I have renovated (or I should clarify, I paid to have renovated) and my two daughters and I holiday regularly in. Yesterday I decided (rather impetuously) to purchase a 16ft Olympic Riviera so as to have a little more room. This morning I am taking it to a fiberglass shop to let them inspect it to check for any problems or weaknesses. Then I am going to embark on a reno that I would dearly love to complete primarily with my own skills. This could be interesting as I don't really have any yet!! Ha HA....I have been looking at pics of other vans that have renovated to get some idea's. My big concern is what to use on the walls to create some continuity as the previous owners have done a poor job of replacing some internal wall lining and it looks very mismatched. If you have any suggestions for me - it will all be very much appreciated.
Once I have the van structurally sound and cleaned up - I will price out to have it re-painted and polished. I really would love to have to stickers to re-place as again the previous owners painted over the top of the old ones and then "Hand Painted" the "Riviera" word in black!! very dodgy!
I am based in Townsville and my phone number is 0411-801-241 - looking forward to hearing from you all :-))

G'day wonderwoman, and welcome to the forum! We be the "Classic Crew", not the 'Vintage Crew'! Thems vintage crew are old dinosaurs who play with vans built before 1970. If you need to know anything about Olympic vans and decals, forum member boblor is your man. Either send him a Personal Message, or wait and see if he reads your request above and responds in this thread. cheers, Al.

I got a quote from a sticker printing place and they only do minimum of 100 and it works out at around $8 each. So it's a bit pricey as I would never use 100 stickers. The other problem is each viscount sticker suited a model like supreme royal ambassador ect. Could possibly get them printed without the model name and it could be added later? Any suggestions?
