Scan of my original FoMoCo brochure from 1970, and the perfect 1970s towcar I reckon! Just wish I had the real thing, in a factory V8 please Will look perfect on the wall of the franklin when done.... Cheers, Gristy

Gidday Hooligan
Like to see your wagon. I have posted another photo on the thread I started, well I actually posted three, but only one arrived. At least I got one on!!
Bit of a story on my post, but can go into a lot of history on the car, if you, or any body is interested.
To answer your question about the size of motor it is a 265 hemi, straight six. Just had the motor and gearbox rebuilt, and added a torquey towing cam.
Cheers

Gday vkgreenie, Sorry if i mislead, only have the brochure - not actual car Actually, I have quite a number of Ford brochure's from 1970/1971, Falcon's, capri cortina etc, And one for the HQ model range too, even has prices written on it be the dealer of the time, with trade-in repayments etc, bit of a laugh when you look at new Holden prices now. Has your VK got exhaust mods? Those 265's have a great note with headers etc - and a lumpy cam . Sounds like your pretty keen on the Mopars eh! Cheers, Gristy

Hi Hooligan Sure am into Mopar cars. ;D Seems to be a big interest in the 70's vintage muscle cars, and I noticed the other day, through Shannon's auctions that a Ford GTHO Phase 3, fetched 600 + thousand, with an estimation this same car will fetch one mil in a couple of years. Bathurst built Chargers are getting a quarter of a mil, rebuilt Chargers 50-60 grand....but mine in the condition it is in, maybe 10, BUT NOT FOR SALE!!!!!! Just had the 265 in mine reconditioned, including the gearbox, big towing cam and yes it is very throaty and lumpy. A couple of years a ago had the pacer exhaust system fitted as well as a two and a quarter inch exhaust pipe fitted as well. Every body knows I'm coming. Now to find the elusive 70's van to compliment the Mopar car.......still looking. ;D Cheers vkgreenie
