G'day All,
I notice that a lot of threads in the various indexes show zero views. Blowed if I know what's going on. Proboards must have done something to the Views counting system.
cheers, Al.

I was also wondering why often lately I try to post photos and it won't accept them ( or limits to one photo )...says that the forum has exceeded its attachment limit - very strange !

That is a god reason why not to attach pics. IT is better to use the img link to the pictures. You can then post 100's of pics in the 1 post. The limits are due to the fact you are useing space provided for free so you should always insert a link code then it is not useing the free space. Weird but that is how it works.

bambang, the attachment limit problems, I understand. The zero views, I don't. Proboards give a monthly allowance for attachments (called "bandwidth"). Every time somebody views an attachment on the forum, they are chewing into that monthly allowance. The more people that view the attachments (that is, download them), the more the monthly allowance is chewed into. If too many attachments are downloaded in a short space of time, the monthly allowance is exceeded, and for the rest of that month the attachments can't be viewed, and nor can new attachments be uploaded. Then when a new month starts, the allowance starts again, and everything is honky-dorey until the allowance is used up again. As banno says, the only way around it is to learn how to post photos on the forum via Photobucket or Flickr. It's tricky to begin with, but we've all been there, done that, and survived to tell the tale. Once you get the first photo posted via Photobucket, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. cheers, Al.

Thanks Al and banno, have previously used photobucket on the forum but was just being lazy lately so attached directly. Thanks for clearing all that up. Now that I know the consequences I will try to use photobucket from here on in. Cheers - Steve.
