My dad recently passed away and left a small 1974 Chesney caravan in reasonable condition. I think it is about 12ft. Does anyone know the best way for us to sell it and what kind of price range should we expect? Thanks

G'day bridget, and welcome to the forum! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) My condolences to you on the recent passing of your Dad. Unfortunately, there's no accurate way of valuing these old vans. There are so many factors involved, you can go round the twist trying to nail an exact price. Gumtree is a free way of selling stuff, so you could try that. There are other websites you could list your van on (eg. TradingPost) but there's a fee involved. Without seeing the van in the flesh, I would only be taking a stab in the dark to give you a price range. A 1974 van that's 12ft will be for a relatively niche market (one or two people; a small towcar; that sort of thing), so it may not command as big a price as, say, a 1974 16ft Chesney. You can have a look through the completed listings on ebay, to see what sort of prices people were prepared to pay for these old vans. Hope this helps, cheers, Al.

Thanks Al. Appreciate the feedback and your kind thoughts. I'll check out the previous listings as you suggest. We just need a ball park. The most important thing is to see the van find a good home. It gave my Dad years of happy camping. Bridget
