Millard Window Winder

Hi am fixing up my Millard windows, thankfully only two need fixing. Plenty of different size pop rivets to use.

Anyway does anyone know were i can get some replacement or substitute winders?

CaravansPlus stock a black plastic hatch winder for the old Millards, and this winder can be adapted to the windows. Postage can be a killer when you're only buying one or two smaller items.

What exactly is wrong with the old ones? I would recommend you try and salvage them if possible.

Old ones missing completely, 8 windows 1 winder. I had look at Caravans Plus, $90 for 8.

Any ideas on a DIY winder?

Sadly Ive had to spend much more than that at CaravansPlus for my caravan. You might be lucky enough to find some at a caravan 2nd hand parts dealer, although there arent too many of them around.

Have a few windows with winders that going to be thrown out shortly as we have replaced all the windows. I was unable to separate the winder from the worm drive in the gear box which means that you would have to pull the gear box apart and replace the winder plus the worm drive in your windows. Where are you located?

I can pull em too bits easy, couple of my gears have teeth missing so they'll come in handy.

Big thanks to "2lateagain" for posting me some window winders and mechanisms. Only cost was postage. Now i can get all the windows working.
