BigG 1976 Viscount Supreme

Hi All, Just a quick introduction and hope this is the right area for posting this.

I recently purchased a 76 Viscount Supreme off eBay from Victoria (Still waiting for it to be transported) and am looking forward to restoring her to, well as close to, original. At least I think it is a 76 Supreme, I base that solely on the info I have gleamed from this forum and van serial number, S67744.

I have added the pics off eBay and will reload more when she arrives and I have had a chance to have a closer inspection.

I have been chasing a single axle with curved windows for awhile and I know you should never buy unseen off eBay but from what I was told, speaking to the seller, the only leak was from a removed solar installation and only surface rust. Adding that the van was relatively cheap (2k), I took the risk and will let you know how it turns out.

We will move you to the Hall of Fame , there you can post all the images you like & ask any questions.
What ever the salesman said double it for time & expense, just how it goes for old vans.

looks like my van same layout,that wasted space above and underneath so great for touring i built a shower there tossed the stove and put a fridge there

Looks like a nice van, as mentioned things take a loooong time to do when restoring vans. The amount of time I've thought 'I'll get that done before lunch' only to not finish it by tea time.

Amen to that Snoops. I do like the shape of the Viscount Royal and Supreme. Almost as good as the Franklin Arrow 😜

Be very careful greedy53  with your hot water system if it is the same as the one we have it gets very hot at the back and spews out a ton of carbon monoxide the silent killer. I may be wrong but it looks the same as ours. I have only tested ours before packing away awaiting fitting at draw bar .

thanks for the heads up you cant see it but there is a hole behind the heater with a small 12 volt puter fan when the light goes on so does it
