1975 Camperland Corvette

Hi all, I stumbled upon this great forum whilst trying to find out info about a little camper that we got recently. Apparently it was in the family for 30 years or so and the sellers father had gutted it out years ago. There was still some tubes and hosing from an original sink? I haven't been able to find out much and wished I could have seen the original internal set up. I'm going to eventually get a new canvas, new larger wheels, redo the bed frames from wood to aluminium and maybe change a bit of the layout. I was also wanting to try and raise the wall height by adding extra framing of some sort( haven't quite looked into that) so I can fit a few more things in higher than 350mm.
Anyways I've enjoyed looking at everyone's different campers and ideas and will post a few photos of the renovations.

looking good nice find,a good friend had the loose fitting canvas he solved by using tent poles that way he just put it up than pushed the poles out a really nice job it may help you

Hi greedy53, Thanks for the ideas, the canvas does go tight, I just haven't clipped it all down and I can't open one bed all the way down as it doesn't fit under my carport, I will eventually take it to a larger shed so I can tinker with it but for now it's our new toy

Hasn't been much gutted from your camper,only thing missing is a sink and stove unit which sat on the floor for travelling and lifted up onto bottom cupboard for when camped.
What area are you in,I could show you photos of what it looked like new,or if not nearby send me a pm with your email details.

Hi all, here's a few pictures of where I'm up to in the camper Reno! Mainly beginning to tidy it up, put in some laminated flooring and a bit of aluminium trim around the fridge cavity. I was going to make a an aluminium frame for the L shape beds but in the end decided to reuse the old wooden frames but just move them out from 350mm to 600mm so they are big enough for the kids to sleep on and we can have an end bed each. Hopefully get a bit more done tomorrow if it's not raining too much! The camper isn't quite square so it's going to be fun putting the bed base tops on. All fun learning as I go!

Hey Lockyer, I'm in Lismore, Northern NSW. We are booked into Dickie Beach in Caloundra in a few months,  we haven't been there before only to Maroochydore beach park. The camper won't be completley finished so we will have a tarp setup over it, as the canvas is almost see through in some spots from age. We do all our cooking outside so this will be beds and storage.

Hi all, here's a little Reno update! Finished the kids beds/storage/Dining area. I was going to build an aluminium frame but in the end I decided to keep the wood framework that was already there as it was still in good condition and it was built to fit the camper already. I basically just moved the long bench frame out another 30cm so it was wide enough for one of the kids and then made the end one about the same so they'll sleep in an L pattern. Used a bit of aluminium trim to cover up any mistakes?. Next stage is repairing the fold out beds with new 12mm ply and aluminium edging instead of the wood as it has broken and cracked on on end.
