Hey Ditzy & Hooligan Thanks for your interest, here's a couple more photies. To answer you question Hooligan, yep did have a green one too. Bought three of them actually back in May 1976 in a family business arrangement for $5000 each, and purchased from Newmans of Kogarah. That was in my other life when we lived in Sydney. Still believe they are a Mitsubishi dealer. There was the blue one, the green one (about the same colour as your Ford) and a light blue Charger. To cut a long story short, the green one and the Charger have long gone, but the blue one is still with us. Our young bloke (28) is wanting for me to go the big Chrysler in the sky, so he can get the Val!!!! I have news for him, it's coming with me!!!!! ;D

Well done.Nice to see a real car with a real engine.Go the Hemi!! One of my tow cars is a VG Pacer sedan,Ive recently sold a VF Pacer station wagon (one of 20 made in 1969) and a Chrysler GE Scorpion convertible.
Those vehicles are down in Adelaide, currently the tow car is VR Commodore and the van is a 1979 18 foot Viscount with twin axles i purchased here in Katherine for the princely sum of $200 Yep $200 !More of a comfortable way to continue our trip around Australia in.
Go Hard,Go Hemi or go home !!
Happy trails.

Hey there Dave & Cookie, welcome aboard Just love it, "Go hard, go hemi, or go home" Have to use that one. Do you guys live in Katherine or just passing through on your trip "around the block"?. Have to post some photies of your 18' Viscount. I have posted a few more photies of ours in "Hall Of Fame" under the post "Retro Roamers". Our "Retro Liner" was a proto type from Windsor, built back in 1978, but not registered till 1998 and re badged it "Sunchaser". Hooligan told me so (he he!!!!) ;D Hopefully soon have the new stickers for the "Retro Liner" As far as the Mopar Muscle Car, been in our family since new. Won't bore you and everybody else about its history, but yes nothing like a hemi. ;D Not being a Holden man what year is the VR? AS above luv to see some pikkies Heading off to places unknown around end June 30. Cheers & many beers vkgreenie

Gday VK, Were back! We were FeelTheSerinity but we were unable to sign in under that as this olfart forgot his password What a terrific example of a VK Val,even has W35s and the proper sun alloy center caps.Well done.245 or 265?? We still have the VR Crumbledoor i purchased from a very good mate for the sum of $500 on LPG about 12 months ago.Its been 1/2 way around Oz towing the 18 foot Viscount now it tows a 16 foot Viscount pop top.Of which Ive donated to a family in Vic who lost every thing including their home, dog and a collection of collectible Valiants in the recent fires. Recently i bought a two owner 1962 S series Val,factory black with red trim and still with the original engine it left Tonsley Park with. After a just over 2 year trip around Australia,my XO and i are ready to cool our heels for a while. We move into a new home in just over 9 days time (but who's counting) in country SA a magic little spot on Lake Alexandrina (a very empty lake atm) called Milang. Well i guess i better get some happy snaps out of the cars vans etc etc for my next posting. Hooroo for now. Dave

Dave I paid 20 dollars for it. Put 2 new tyres and windscreen wiper blades on it to get it RWC and Registered. Drove it for a couple of years... Took to the front end and "wound" it down to 1" from the stoppers. It was not the most economical car in the world but for the size of the motor 215cu it performed really well. Sold it $600, bought a bloody sigma!!!! I keep an eye open for another one (3 on the tree 215) but they are all well out of my league.. and all are either auto or 4 spd.. bobt

;D Hey Dave ,heard about your "S" today from Grey, look forward to seeing it when it's finished, just as I'm looking forward to seeing my Cenny when it's finished .I hope it's going in for paint end of the week ,just in time to bring my little van "Honey" home I also have a VJ 245 auto column change Regal sedan, one owner with less than 110,000 K's on the clock, ???not sure if to keep it or pass it on ,it has some rust around rear window ( in corners) and all doors have rust ,I do have sections to repair the rust and four good rust free doors, trim is good as new other than the carpet ( got really wet once ) floor is rust free . Will email you a pic .
