well the franklin is almost done we have removed nearly all walls and the bunks , bed and club lounge . the walls were rear done in 3mm ply and and all timber supports redone in 42x42 mm pine . the front section has been made into a ensuite with shower and section for portaloo .
the whole rear section has been made into a large bed with under storage , big enough for my large frame and my wife and the puppies all to cuddle .
the new lounge has been made for rainy days with storage again underneath .
the new kings wheels and tyres where added for better travel . i will look at springs later since they seem fine for now.
the flooring will be laid in the next day or two after we finish the painting . we are going for a fun bring interior to make the holidays always bright and shiny .
windows are covered in a film for privacy ..
was hoping to get away to vic but with appointments in jan i will have to do smaller trips till next xmas and start the longer travels in the school holidays throughout the year..

If your tablet has internet axcess then you can put photos directly onto photobucket from your tablet & no need to put on computer.

and then it was ready to go , not the greatest work but best i could do to get it ready for travel . will work on outside and other bits and pieces as we go .. thanks for the interest

thanks its a great size van for the two of us and the two fur kids . will be doing more as i get the funds and will enjoy the travels without having to pitch tents

Wow you have done a great job with your van, I hope you enjoy your travels and please keep us updated, so many members finish there projects and then vanish into thin air so don't be a stranger - the photo's are great

Awesome Job on the van, I love the coloured cupboard panels, very stylish and somewhat period  . If my van comes up anywhere near yours i will be over the moon. Cheers Tim |

thanks for the kind words i will be hanging around as it isnt finished yet but each time i get an idea it will keep changing till its right for us. i will keep the pics coming once we go out and explore .

thanks again for the kind words , yes we did the colours to keep to the period and to make sure when your in it that you know you are on holidays and to enjoy ..

pics of the first trip to the north coast nsw .home first pic, teas gardens free camp second pic , then camden heads the third, he fourth was on the road out to creasent heads but didnt stay , then a pic of our camp at urunga free camp by the river and golf club .

thanks , it is getting more work now as doing new windows and ill do a outside paint job and tidy the tin work soon . leaving home again today to head along south coast for a few days before vicki heads back to work for the new year .. see what else comes up in the idea bank
