Very nicely done. I noticed you used a lot of ply for support, such as chairs and bed framing. Did this add a lot of extra weight compared to the original timber frame setup?

Hi and yes it would weigh a little more but I feel no more than 20 kg. Had a time frame to work to . Doing this way made it easy and quick . The backs are 3mm ply that helps to brace and cover the holes and staple damage . Weight has always been a concern even when buying the right van . Have replaced our trusty old VN Commodore wagon with a TJ Magna wagon. We are happy with the Magna and how it tows the Royal but the trans is a concern and would not match the Coms in towing reliability SO I DONT HAVE TO POST ANYMORE PICS HERES A LINK FOR THOSE INTERESTED Cheers Mark s1122.photobucket.com/user/lance4862/library/?sort=3&page=1

Thanks Mustang Hi all been a while but l just needed a break from working on vans and cars BUT . Now that the royal is well on the road its time to work on the Cabana to sell , Its in pretty good condition with only cosmetic work needed. Once the cabana is sold l have been thinking of my new project but my question is . IS A HILLMAN HUNTER TOOO LIGHT TO TOW MY 15.5 Royal?? If the Hunter dose get the thumps up .L will be replacing the engine with a Sigma 2.6 WITH A 5 SPEED AND MAGNA EFI . l think my self it will be a little on the light side Cheers Mark

Does a Hillman Hunter have a full chassis? An interesting scenario before the current regs came to be with tugs
