Hey all,
We have just purchased our 1975 Viscount...this is our test before we start renovating our home..
As i am am an obsessive compulsive, i need to find out where to buy the window glazing wedge to for replacement. We are taking all of the existing glass out and replacing with a tinted perspex. I know the thickness of the "glass" is 4.5mm and that's about all i know for now.
We are in Brisbane so would prefer somewhere local but know this is not always possible.
We are excited about our project ahead and look forward to our beautiful new old creation!
Thanks heaps

Most of the online caravan parts places will selling the wedges your after, in fact you might even be able to get it where you brought your Perspex.

We have found some online but the profile does not match exactly. Do you know if it matters?

Gday Youngnomads and welcome Caravansplus sell parts for the old Australite windows however I note that you say your glass is 4.5 mm.(Perspex is availablbe in 3mm thick sheets that would suit the glazing wedge available from caravans plus if you haven't already bought the Perspex ,Perspex can also be bought tinted) Is this any good to you ? Cheers Andy caravansplus.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=9753

I have been dealing with a local glazier he charges $2.00 per meter for glazing wedge & on line it is double. Check out your local shop first.

Thanks All,
Yes we have purchased the perspex.. We went with a 4.5mm due to the window frame being approx 7mm wide, more perspex = less silicone.. lol... thanks so much Mustang.. will check out our local glaziers.

I was also going to suggest caravansplus...I just ordered a new tap and asked them to send me some offcuts of each of the glazing wedges they sell in the order (apparently they are happy to do so).
btw I like your username...makes me think my wife and I are not the only 'young nomads' on here...
