Wish i could get the picture to download but alas i shall figure it out later
I have just purchased a old van that looks like a 1070s millard and has a small plate on her side near the door that says Fleetwood Marumba with ans address for albany highway perth wa
So i thought she was a flletwood but now im confused. Is there a site to go to that shows pictures of old vans.
She has gas tank attachments 2 on the front, the front and back windows are a lonf set of two , and on her far side she has 3 windows , one small one over the kitchen and 2 larger ones either side.
I have just got her mobile with a new set of 13inch 5 stud rims and the chasis seems to be covered in a real thick coating which is great cause the rust is minamal.
Hope your all having a lovely day

G'day mustbecrazy, and welcome to the forum! Fleetwood was a caravan sales yard on the Albany Highway at Maddington WA. They could have sold any brand of van, but the two main brands they sold were Viscount and Millard. If your word "Marumba" is any clue, the van you have might be a Murrumba Star, which were made in Qld up to the start of 1970. If you click on this link it will take you to our sister forum for Vintage caravans built before 1970, and the link is for the thread about Murrumba Star caravans, both the fibreglass models, and the aluminium models. You can also read through this old thread from this forum, to see a couple of photos of the Fleetwood sales yard, and down the bottom the last photo shows a damaged Murrumba Star: 1970's caravan picsHope this helps. cheers, Al.

OMG Al your a champion........ She is a murrumba star Was stripping the paint off her on the weekend and found the old paintwork and she has a star down the back. Thanks for solving that little mystery. So now it turns out my van is older than me and probably in worse shape than me too. But am going to start taking her windows out this weekend (one at a time) and clean them up and re install. I have never attempted any of this stuff before so am a little scared but loving this big learning curve. Am thinking it might be too much work maybe i should sell her and get something i can actually work on myself. Thanks again
