I have an 1980 Viscount Grand Tourer--and I'll be danged if I can find any fuses, inverter etc. At present I have no power to the lights in the pop top--they work, but no power at the power point. Power enters the unit near trailing edge of the wardrobe, but all the wiring is buried behind panels--surely the components are out somewhere! Where can I get a wiring diagram with routing? Any help appreciated.

G'day blaing, and welcome to the forum. ;D Hopefully someone with a late 1970s Viscount will be able to tell you how the original electrics are set up in their van, and that might give you a clue as to how your van would be wired up. It may be that there are no fuses fitted. I know that in my 1977 Millard poptop, there were no fuses in the original van. All the wiring was just hidden in the wall cavity. During the restoration, I had a rcd/mcb unit installed on the wall next to the overhead kitchen cupboards. Sounds like you need to get someone to test the whole circuit, starting from the inlet power socket. Maybe there's a wire come loose somewhere in the wall cavity? On a separate note, have you discovered the brochure we have in our Museum section for a 1981 Viscount Grand Tourer? Click on this link and scroll down until you get to Reply #20. cheers, Al.

Hello blaing, These pop-tops have a circuit breaker on the inner wall near the power inlet - sometimes it is inside a cupboard. The wiring to the pop-top is generally inside a cupboard in the rear corner of the van - it should have a hard wired flex for 12 volt, and a plug in flex for 240 volt. The 240 volt cable will be near a power point in the cupboard. I hope this solves your problem.

Howdy Blaing I've got a 79-80 Viscount Supreme and as Wickedcat says the fuses arent far from the power inlet.Mine are in the cupboard directly above the stove and exhaust fan which is directly above the power inlet Cheers Andy
