hello fellow caravan people. our 74 or 75 franklin arrow has nearly finished its modern caravan make over. we have had a caravan manufacturer type person put a new modern caravan inside our old franklin. all 12 volt, shower and toilet. every thing that was in the the new 16 ft caravan we had spotted at the caravan show for $50,000 plus. now i need to repair the window locks. he has replaced all the screens as part of the rebuild but has told me to find the window locks. little geared things with 3 teeth i think. i will post a pic over the weekend. if anyone has a lead on these please let me know. thanks kel

Greetings kelvin01au, ;D ;D ;D The window locks you write about may be able to be repaired: if all that has happened is that the 'Tab' rocker finger thingies have come off, they can be fixed. Just drill out the old rivet with a 1/8 drill and try not to damage the hole. Then 'Pop-rivet' the Tab back onto the window frame sliding track, making sure that as you do so, that the knob on the thingy sits in the middle slot of the 3 teeth that you mentioned. I've done this over and over. The problem arises when the plastic arm over the 3 teeth breaks. None of the above matters. So if there's some plastic broken, you'll have to continue the search. Try CAMEC www.camec.com.au/ .They have the lock: its catalogue number is ' WOW Slide Lock 010196' Or caravansplus.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=963 ;D ;D ;D Cost $2.44 Cheers mike ;D ;D ;D

Hi guys. I had the same problem and just decided to replace the whole set up with window winders that I purchased off ebay for $5.00 each. The thing though is you have to alter your screens a little. If you are looking for completely original this may not be an option but if you want functional it works well.
